| Membership, Certification, and CEUs

Certification by the National Tutoring Association:
Individuals
(not associated with a Learning Center Affiliate): Completing the "Tutoring Foundations" Comprehensive program qualifies you to apply for Membership and NTA Certification. Fee: $99* including a criminal background check and one year's membership (normally $135) |
Learning Center Affiliates
(for their staff and tutors): Process NTA Certification, including one year of membership for only $25 (normally $95). Criminal background check is an additional $45.* Learning Center Affiliates may be approved to process some elements of the NTA Level I: Basic, Intermediate or Advanced tutor certification. *except in New York where the cost of the background check is increased by $150.
Continuing Education Units Provided by Fielding Graduate University
Learners also qualify to receive continuing education units (CEUs) granted from Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, California, two for each module, or six for the entire curriculum. CEUs are valuable for teachers maintaining credentials or others seeking to improve their pay grade or satisfy education requirements. A $60 processing fee per application applies and a Bachelors degree or above is required. More information on CEUs is available at 800.340.1099, www.fielding.edu, or by email to: NLewin@fielding.edu.
